Digital WOF checksheets
The paper checksheet, retired
WoFMate guides your inspector through the full WOF inspection on any device and produces the finished, NZTA-format checksheet PDF the moment the result is entered — signed, numbered, and filed without a single sheet of paper.
- NZTA-format PDF, instantly
- Rego lookup auto-fill
- Linked 28-day rechecks
- Records lock automatically
From rego to finished record in one flow
Start an inspection by entering the plate. WoFMate's vehicle lookup auto-fills the vehicle details that would otherwise be typed by hand, so the inspection starts in seconds and transcription errors never reach the record.
The inspection itself follows a structured digital checksheet: every section recorded as the inspector works, pass or fail reasons captured against the relevant items, nothing left to decipher from handwriting at the end of the day.
When the result goes in, the checksheet PDF is generated immediately in the standard NZTA layout — a customer copy included — and stored against the vehicle and the inspecting site.

Rechecks and record integrity, handled
Failed items come back. WoFMate links the recheck to the original inspection, so the 28-day recheck shows exactly what failed, what was rechecked, and the final outcome — one chain of evidence, not two loose documents.
Completed checksheets lock automatically. The record an auditor sees is the record your inspector produced, unchanged — which is precisely what a Quality Management System needs to demonstrate.
Frequently asked questions
What devices does it run on?
WoFMate runs in the browser on tablets, phones, and desktops — no app install, no special hardware. Most sites run the inspection on a tablet in the bay.
Is the checksheet in the NZTA format?
Yes. The generated PDF follows the standard NZTA checksheet layout, including the customer copy, and is produced the moment the inspection result is entered.
How do rechecks work?
A recheck is opened from the original inspection and stays linked to it. The recheck record shows the originally failed items, what was rechecked, and the final result as a single chain of evidence.
Can a completed checksheet be edited afterwards?
No. Completed checksheets lock automatically, which protects the integrity of the record for your QMS and for NZTA audit purposes.
