From plate to locked record, in one flow
1
Enter the plate
The rego lookup auto-fills the vehicle details, so the inspection starts in seconds with no transcription errors.
2
Run the guided inspection
The inspector works through a structured digital checksheet on any device — pass and fail reasons captured as they go.
3
The record finishes itself
The NZTA-format checksheet PDF generates instantly, the record locks automatically, and rechecks stay chained to the original.

Your fail patterns, finally visible
Every inspection you record builds a picture paper never could: which checks your site fails most, and whether the trend is improving. Target training where it counts, cut repeat failures, and walk into QMS reviews with evidence instead of impressions.

Built inside the rules that govern the job
Checksheets built to the February 2026 WoF Check Sheet Specifications. Records that lock on completion. Rechecks chained to their originals. Controlled auditor access. WoFMate treats the checksheet as what it is — a regulatory record. Its WoF e-check sheet is NZTA-approved and live in production.
Built from the service desk, not a boardroom
WoFMate is built by Mike, an automotive service manager who has run WOF inspection operations, managed inspector teams, and sat through the NZTA audits this software is designed for. The product decisions start from the workshop floor.
Frequently asked questions
Is WoFMate approved by NZTA?
Yes — WoFMate's electronic WoF check sheet is approved by NZTA (Version 1.13/2026) for light vehicles and is live in production. It's a temporary approval to 19 June 2027 as NZTA moves to its new VIC system, and we're continuing toward full Digital Checksheet Provider approval. Full detail is on the Compliance page.
What does WoFMate cost?
Plans are priced per site with unlimited inspectors: Starter $59, Professional $129, and Complete $169 per month + GST, each with a 30-day free trial and no payment details required.
What devices does it run on?
WoFMate runs in the browser on tablets, phones, and desktops — no app install or special hardware required.
What happens to our existing paper process?
WoFMate stops anything new being added to the paper pile. The existing paper check sheets must still be retained for 12 months from the date of inspection, however that stack shrinks month by month until, after 12 months, none remain — the last of the paper finally on its way out. WoFMate replaces the paper checksheet with a guided digital flow that produces the NZTA approved format PDF record instantly — your process gets simpler, and your records get more defensible.
